Effects of Human Activities

How human activities are affecting the Amazon Rainforest
                Deforestation

The effects of human activities on the Amazon rainforest are ruining and destroying our worlds nature and many species of animals. The thing that is destroying it the most is called deforestation. This is where farmers or factories are cutting down all of the trees in the rainforest for space for new buildings or for paper or wood factories. This is damaging the homes of many animals and is destroying a lot of species of plants. This is a huge problem because many of these species are becoming extinct or don't have any where to live. this also leads to not being able to find cures and medicines for diseases such as cancer because they are being destroyed.

                                                                       Hunting

Another big problem that is happening is hunting. This effects the rainforest because many animals are being killed for people to eat and to use their skin or tusks. This is illegal in most rainforests but people still go ahead and take species of animals away from the world. These hunters also take animals to zoos to keep them captive for people to look at. I know that the zookeepers take care of them and make sure they are healthy but these animals cant live back in the rainforest if you take them away. They wouldn't be able to hunt or stay alive. This human activity is both good and bad. It's good because it lets us see animals in zoos and it keeps us alive but it's bad because we are destroying different kinds of species and they are becoming extinct.
